The University of Karl Marx Library in Leipzig returned a book after 40 years of loaning. In April 13th 1079, a student at the university of Karl Marx (known also as the University of Leipzig) took a book from the library. The book was found in the book collapse in August 2019.

A spokeswomen of the library told the German “Bild” newspaper that she has no idea where the book was during the 40-year period. The book was reclassified and coded to be ready for lending again. The student is supposed to pay a late book return fine that was calculated at about Euro 14,600.
