Christopher Hamilton-Emery has come up with an innovative idea to save the British publishing house he founded in 1999 from serious financial trouble by asking loyal readers to buy one book from their online store as a contribution to paying the company’s debts amounting to around £10,000.

Salt Publishing released around 80 titles a year, but recent sales dropped to just 19 books. Since the call to action, Hamilton-Emery has raised £7,500 in just a few weeks, allowing the publisher to get back on track and regain his lost share in a highly competitive market.
