With the participation of more than 1,000 local, Arab and international publishing houses from 28 countries, the Riyadh International Book Fair is set to kick off in its new location at the Riyadh Front, on Friday, October 1, 2021 until the 10th of the same month, under the theme “New Destination, New Chapter”.
With Iraq hosted as the “Guest of Honor”, this year’s edition will see more than 100 writers and intellectuals participating in the “Cultural Encounters” event to talk about urgent literary and cultural issues through 36 seminars and lectures, in addition to more than 60 workshops in various creative fields, including workshops in writing and composition, filmmaking, culinary arts, and others, in addition to artistic and musical performances.
On Monday and Tuesday, October 4 and 5, the RIBF will host the 1st edition of the Professional Publishing Conference, which sheds light on the reality of the publishing industry in the Arab world and ways to develop it, in addition to many other issues related to the publishing sector, through 12 panel discussion involving 42 speakers from the KSA and the world. Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi, President of the International Publishers Association, will deliver a keynote speech during the conference.
