The 26th edition of the Muscat International Book Fair was launched at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre by His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth.
In addition to visiting the pavilions of all the participating countries, HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said also toured the exhibition’s corridors, where he visited a number of corners and pavilions designated for institutions and official bodies, as well as a number of children’s corners.
The Minister ended his tour by visiting the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate corner, the guest of honor of the exhibition, where he was briefed about the manuscripts, the collectibles, and the tools on display that reflect the past and present of the Governorate.
There will be 715 participants in this session, which is scheduled to run until Friday, March 5th, including 570 publishing houses directly and indirectly via agencies through 145 publishers, bringing the total to 715 from (27) countries.
The fair will include 114 cultural activities, including lectures, cultural and scientific seminars, as well as children’s activities.
