One of Instagram’s most creative artists, ‘Paperboyo’, who transforms images of famous global landmarks using paper cut-outs, has been signed up by Penguin Random House imprint Century.

Under the guise of his alter ego, Rich McCor has nearly 300,000 followers on his @paperboyo account, which includes photos of Big Ben converted into a wristwatch, St Paul’s Cathedral morphing into an ice-cream cone and, on his visit to Dubai, a silhouette where he ‘climbed’ the Burj Khalifa.

The book, Around the World in Cut-Outs, will showcase his best-known photographs alongside unseen images commissioned exclusively for the book. McCor said: “It’s a total privilege for me to be working with such a fantastic publishing team and I can’t wait to get the book out there. It’s great to be sharing brand new pieces but I’m also excited about giving an insight into how I come up with ideas and how I create these images.”

Ajda Vucicevic, senior editor at Century, said: “When I first came across Rich’s account, I knew he was going to be big. His unique style, incredible creativity and ability to see such amazing potential in the world around us is astounding. I’m so excited to be working with Rich and publishing a book that I hope will make other people see our surroundings in a different way as well.”

The book will be published in October this year.
