A number of Arab and foreign writers, translators, academics and publishers will be hosted in the 2nd edition of the “Days of Translation and World Literature” festival, organized in Italy by the Palestinian Ministry of Culture in collaboration with Mediterranean Publications from 30 September to 5 October 2018.

The festival will host 11 VIP guests including Dr. Hamid Dabashi, Professor of Hagop Kevorkian Iranian Studies at New York’s Columbia University and Columnist of the Egyptian newspaper “Al Ahram Weekly”, as well as Jonathan Wright, a British journalist and critic and one of the most prominent translators from Arabic into English.

The festival also hosts a number of prominent figures including Giuseppe Catozzella, an Italian writer and journalist and the author of “Don’t Tell Me You’re Afraid” and “But You’ll Do It” novels, and Irina Papancheva, a Bulgarian novelist who writes for children, Luz Gómez, a professor of Arabic studies at the Autonomous University of Madrid, and the Swedish Publisher Per Bergström , Director of Rámus House.
