First Haruki Murakami new novel in six years
Haruki Murakami’s first new novel in six years will be released this April by Shinchosha, the publisher of his works.
Murakami has not given much information about his new novel, which will be his first since his February 2017 novel “Killing Commendatore.”
Shinchosha announced the new work would be published on April 13, but did not provide details about the plot or title.
A Japanese version of the book is expected to be published first, followed by translations. Approximately 1,200 pages will be involved in the title, but the number of book pages has yet to be determined.
Around 50 languages have been translated into the 74-year-old’s surreal works, which include references to pop culture.
